PhD Programme

We have PhD Programmes associated with the schools of Economics, Law, Political Science, and Management.  Students, who enroll through one of these schools, receive training in both their discipline, from the associated school, and CCP, from CCP members. There are currently nineteen PhD students within CCP.

Our PhD Programme offers a comprehensive range of activities to contribute to students' learning plans, such as visits to the DTI and the Competition Commission.

New Researchers Workshop

Each year CCP holds a week-long New Researchers Workshop, which brings together new rsearchers from Economics, Law, Management and Politics within UEA who share an interest in competition law and policy.  A number of external new researchers are also invited.

The aim of the workshop is to facilitate the exchange of ideas in the broad area of competition policy both within and across discipline boundaries.  Each student presents an area of their research and participates actively in other presentations' discussions.  There is a general programme, for example, to give hints on publishing papers, depending on participant demand, and also a social programme.
