Stephen Greasley is a Lecturer in the School of Political, Social and International Studies. He has previously worked at IPEC at the University of Manchester and on research projects for The Case for Agglomeration Economies in Europe (ESPON) and The Role of Local Authorities in Sustainable Economic Development (4NW/NWIEP). Stephen's key research areas include political - bureaucratic relations, political economy and central-local relations. Current research projects include: Political Control and the Management of Bureaucratic Discretion in English Local Government  ESRC (First Grant Scheme).
