Professor Shaffer is Professor of Economics, Strategy and Marketing in the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, USA, and part-time Professor in Norwich Business School at UEA.

He visited the Centre for two months in the Spring of 2006, during which time he contributed to the Centre's research, and again for six weeks in the summer of 2007, when he worked with members on research and attended the Summer Conference.
