Masters courses

Members from the Centre teach on a range of post-graduate master’s course delivered by the University of East Anglia, all of which have a significant competition policy element.

All courses offer close collaboration with research conducted by CCP and, with senior advisory links with the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority and the financial and utility regulators, you will be able to work in an environment at the forefront of policy debates in competition economics at international level.

Through attending the Centre's weekly seminars, which are open to masters students, you have a unique chance to interact with academic staff and researchers drawn from across the disciplines of Economics, Law, Business and Political Science, all of whom have a wide range of knowledge and interest in competition policy and regulation, giving you the skills needed to work within a multi-discipline environments.

  • MA Public Policy and Public Management

    What governments do and why they do it are perennially important questions. In today’s complex and ever-changing world, a critical understanding of the processes and their results is more vital than ever before. This MA will help you develop an in-depth understanding of public policy and management at both national and international levels. Flexible and multidisciplinary, it’s ideal if you have a social science degree and are hoping to specialise, or a degree in environmental studies or geography and are looking for wider applications of your subject knowledge, or if you’re a professional who’s interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the processes you deal with every day.

  • LLM Master of Laws

    Law Masters (LLM) degrees are increasingly seen by employers as a means to distinguish applicants. If you would like to study a Master’s in Law course that can be specifically tailored to your interests, the LLM General degree is an excellent choice. You will be given the freedom to choose any combination of LLM modules from the extensive selection offered by UEA Law School, ranging from subjects relevant to international trade and commerce to corporate governance; from international competition law to intellectual property and information technology law; and to more socio-legal subjects, such as the protection of privacy and reputation.

  • MSc Economics

    MSc Economics is part of our Academic and Professional Programme – designed for people who want to pursue a career as a professional economist within government and industry or move into PhD study. It’s ideal for you if you’ve already studied economics and are looking for intensive research-led training in advanced economic theory, econometrics and research methods. You should have a good undergraduate degree (equivalent to a 2:1 or a 1st) with a substantial component of economics, or a graduate diploma in economics.

The Centre is unable to offer any scholarships at this time. The Centre delivers a variety of courses aimed at students, academics and practitioners. Our popular Economics of Competition Policy for Economists for practitioners who are new to practical competition policy runs every October.

We run a successful and lively PhD Programme with students within the Schools of law, economics, political sciences and the Norwich Business School.
